Make the biggest Impact by Pre-funding a specific children’s facility which gives them the resources to help the children quickly. OrphanAct holds your money and notifies the Romanian club that funds are available for the facility you selected. The funds are not sent until we receive pro-forma invoices and details about the project. Romanian Rotary clubs do not have to wait for months hoping a proposed project might be funded. The facility staff, and local Rotary club, moves ahead with urgency knowing the funds are available. Projects that are only a dream become a reality for the children because your pre-funding made the project happen. No matter which funding option you choose, 100% of your money pays for projects.

Our Premium Donor Opportunity – Sponsor a Facility

As a Facility Sponsor, your facility can be an orphanage, children’s hospital, or shelter for homeless children. This is your opportunity to do

more than just ‘write a check’ if you prefer a deeper involvement. You or your organization are invited to form an ongoing relationship with a children’s facility. There is no contractual obligation, only the rewarding experience you will receive for the length of your sponsorship. Sponsors receive a web page on the website to facilitate communications with your facility. Sponsoring a facility is a great opportunity to reshape the facility and the lives of the children.

Option 1: Pre-fund a Facility Project

Our most exciting funding opportunity is to support a facility. Select a children’s facility from the website and commit a dollar amount to that specific facility. OrphanAct will use those funds for the next available project for your facility. You will be notified when the project is funded and you will receive recognition for funding each specific project. There is no committment of a long-term relationship with your facility. That decision is up to you. On the OrphanAct website, review the Childrens Facilities and Romanian Rotary Clubs. Select a facility and an OrphanAct volunteer will facilitate your decision.

Sponsor A Facility

Imagine the immense satisfaction you will receive from becoming a Facility Sponsor. The children are so thrilled to know that they have “friends across the sea” who are supporting them. A sponsor shows the children and staff that they are not alone. Another benefit that sponsors receive is their own web page on the OrphanAct website! Their page is linked directly to your facility’s web page to make an impact on children and staff of an entire facility. Check the Facility Sponsor option box to initiate your sponsorship.

Option 2: Fund a Project

There are Romanian Rotary projects listed on the OrphanAct website. Go to the ‘Projects Available’  web page and select a project for your organization to fund. OrphanAct will contact you if the project is no longer available and will assist you in finding another project. A Rotary/OrphanAct volunteer will help facilitate the project you select.

Option 3: Let OrphanAct Decide

 Allow OrphanAct to utilize your funds in the best way possible. As you can imagine, there are times when funds are needed for the children that are not being supported by option #1 or #2. This gives OrphanAct the ability to meet urgent requests made by Romanian Rotary clubs and the children’s facilities they work with. You or your organization will be notified when the funds are spent and recognition will appear on the OrphanAct website.

At times, we will combine your funds with other donors or Rotary Matching Grants to make your money go further.
